Rayna Industries manufactures square COB downlights at our own facility in Ahmedabad. A square fixture lines up with walls, beams and joinery in a way a round one cannot, which is why architects specify it where the ceiling grid is part of the design.

The range comes in two forms. The single square is a 12W fixture in a 77 × 77mm cut-out. The twin square is 24W, with two heads behind one rectangular opening of 155 × 77mm. Both are 83mm deep, so the ceiling requirement is the same either way.

Where a twin fixture is worth it

Over a long surface — a kitchen counter, a reception desk, a display run — two beams from one opening cover the length better than a single head can. On a plain ceiling, fewer large openings also look cleaner than a row of small ones.

Mark the twin cut-out carefully. A rectangular opening of 155 × 77mm cannot be widened neatly once it has been cut, so fix the model before the ceiling is marked.

Square or round?

It is a decision about the ceiling, not the light. A square fixture suits gypsum ceilings, cove details and modern interiors where edges matter. A round COB downlight disappears more easily into a plain ceiling and comes in a far wider range, from 7W to 50W across eleven series.

Both use the same COB engine and the same driver, so the quality and colour of the light are identical. Only the shape of the hole changes.

Build and warranty

LM80 certified LEDs, a BIS approved driver with built-in PFC and up to 4kV surge protection, and a powder-coated aluminium die-cast housing. Protection covers short circuit, open circuit, over voltage, under voltage and 440V input. Colour temperatures 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6000K, with CRI 80 or 90, and beam angles of 15°, 25°, 38° and 60°. Available in black and white.

Available in Economy and Premium build, and in a Smart (WiFi / app-controlled) version. Warranty up to 60 months depending on the build. Made in India.
