The Flick is a wide beam downlight. Where a COB spot throws a tight pool of light on one object, the Flick spreads a soft, even wash across the whole room — which is what a living room, an office or a bedroom actually needs.

Lumen output varies with CCT. All three wattages are 50mm deep.
This is the decision most people get wrong. A downlight at 120° lights the room; a COB downlight at 15° to 60° lights a thing. Use the Flick for general ceiling light and a COB where a painting, a counter or a display needs picking out.
Most rooms need both, and in different places. A grid of Flicks gives the base light; a few COBs pick out the features. Using COBs everywhere leaves dark patches between the beams; using downlights everywhere leaves the room evenly lit but flat.
Because the beam is wide, spacing matters more than wattage. On a standard 9 to 10 foot ceiling, 12W units placed 4 to 5 feet apart give even light in a bedroom or corridor. The 18W suits living rooms and offices, and the 24W is for larger areas or higher ceilings where fewer fixtures have to cover more floor.
Note that the cut-out grows quickly with wattage — 111mm at 12W to 162mm at 24W. Confirm the size before the ceiling is marked; unlike depth, which stays at 50mm across the range, the opening cannot be adjusted afterwards.
At 50mm deep the Flick fits almost any false ceiling, including shallow gypsum work where a deeper fixture will not go. That, and the wide beam, make it the default choice for a whole floor.
LM80 certified LEDs, a BIS approved driver with built-in PFC and up to 4kV surge protection, and a powder-coated aluminium die-cast housing. Protection covers short circuit, open circuit, over voltage, under voltage and 440V input. Available in black and white.
