Rayna Industries manufactures Chip-on-Board (COB) downlights at our own facility in Ahmedabad. COB puts multiple LED chips on a single substrate, which gives a clean, uniform beam with no visible dots, better heat dissipation and a longer working life than a multi-chip fixture of the same wattage.
We build eleven COB series, from 7W to 50W. They share the same electricals and the same driver — what changes is the body: how deep it sits, how wide the ceiling opening is, and how much of the light source you see when you look up.
Three numbers decide it. Cut-out is the hole in the ceiling and cannot be changed once cut, so fix this first — the range runs from 30mm on the Orio to 150mm on the 50W Caren. Height is the space needed above the ceiling: the Lotus needs 43mm, the Pullout needs 122mm, and a shallow plenum rules out half the range. Wattage follows the ceiling height: 7W and 12W for 8 to 10 feet, 18W for living rooms and offices, 30W and 50W for double-height ceilings and showroom floors.
Beam angle matters where the light has a job to do. A narrow 15° or 24° beam picks out a painting, a counter or a table. A wider 38° or 60° beam fills a room. Every series lists its options on its own page.
Most of the range is fixed — the light points straight down and the fixture sits flush in the ceiling. Where the light needs to be aimed at something, the Pullout draws down out of the ceiling and rotates, and the Movable COB tilts inside its housing where the plenum is too shallow for a Pullout.
The Orio Trimless is the third case: no visible rim at all, because the fixture is plastered into the ceiling before the finishing coat. It has to be planned at the design stage — it cannot be added to a ceiling that is already finished.
Every COB we make uses LM80 certified LEDs, a BIS approved driver with built-in PFC and up to 4kV surge protection, and a powder-coated aluminium die-cast housing. Protection covers short circuit, open circuit, over voltage, under voltage and 440V input. Colour temperatures are 3000K, 4000K, 5000K and 6000K, with CRI 80 or 90.
Each series comes in Economy and Premium build, and in a Smart (WiFi / app-controlled) version — the same fixture, with app and voice control built in. Warranty runs up to 60 months depending on the build.
We supply contractors, architects, hotels and industrial buyers across India and export to West Africa and the Middle East. Buying direct means factory pricing, wattage advice from the people who build the fixture, and a warranty we honour ourselves. Send us your ceiling height, the area to be covered and the quantity — we will suggest the series and wattage and share pricing on WhatsApp.
COB lights, or Chip-on-Board lights, are a type of LED lighting that uses multiple LED chips on a single board. This allows for a more compact and efficient lighting design.
Traditional LED lights use individual LED chips that are mounted on a circuit board. COB lights, on the other hand, use multiple LED chips that are mounted on a single board, resulting in a more compact and efficient design.
COB lights offer a number of benefits including higher energy efficiency, longer lifespan, and a more compact design. They also have a higher luminous efficacy and better thermal management.
COB lights are suitable for a wide range of applications, including residential, commercial, and industrial spaces. They are highly durable and boast a sleek and modern design that will enhance the aesthetics of any space.
COB lights can be installed in the same way as traditional LED lights. The process typically involves connecting the lights to a power source, mounting them in the desired location, and turning them on. It's always recommended to consult manufacturer manual and hire electrician if you are not comfortable with electrical work.
COB lights require minimal maintenance and are very easy to clean. Simply wipe them down with a damp cloth to remove any dust or debris. If you notice any issues with the lights, it's always recommended to consult manufacturer manual and hire electrician.
